Fixed Formation Trailers have wheels at the side of the container. This lowers the centre of gravity and loading height.
Main Advantages:
- Low centre of gravity and excellent stability.
- More comfortable ride for the livestock
- Low loading height.
- Improved visibility for the towing driver
Main Disadvantages:
- Max. internal width of trailer 5ft. 8ins
- Normally can only be used to carry livestock

| Demount Livestock Trailers |

Demount Trailers have the wheels underneath the container so that the body is separate from the chassis.
Main Advantages:
- Body can be lifted off and chassis used for other jobs.
- Wider bodied trailers allowing stock room to turn.
Main Disadvantages:
- Higher centre of gravity
- Greater loading height

For those with larger numbers of livestock to move about, tractor drawn containers may be the solution. At Avondale Trailers we manufacture the sides in 8ft. sections enabling us to produce any length requirement quickly. |
